Mere kaale kaale naina…
Workplace = Hotel Room.
Music@workplace = Deja Vu.
It’s my life, kandisa, The Mummers Dance, Tambourine Man, a thousand memories.
Nice, nice. I have been tripping on Les Choristes & this awesome Bach piece called Concerto for two violins.
Bunty aur Babli is a super hit in Meerut. 75 days now in the hall right next door. Yesterday there was an air-hostess training programme in the conference room of this hotel. Why do I think the two are related?
A festival called the “Kanwar” happening here right now. A month long festival that happens every year during Saawan. People from all over North India travelling to Haridwar, Gaumukh etc. They bottle Ganga Jal, and then walk back to their respective towns/villages to offer that to the Shivlings there. Any time of the day, you find people walking down the highway with their Kanwars, something like the Kaavadi in Kerala (a stick, bamboo/teak usually, that you carry on your shoulders with the vessels containing, what I presume, is the Ganga jal, hanging from either end).
Some of them have portable loudspeakers, I think. Or maybe, the Meerut administration is generous. Wherever they camp on the road, I find Kajra Re or some such Bunty Aur Bubli song playing loud enough to send a shiver down Lord Shiva’s spine. Background score for his tandav, I suppose.
I have been tripping on Kajra Re too. The local cable plays it once in 20 minutes. Ms. Rai is actually beginning to grow on Me. God forbid.
