Dhimsa Dance

Dhimsa Dance

A Snapshot of the Dhimsa Dance performed by the local tribals. I quite enjoyed it – a simple enough dance, but the syncrhonization of the women folk was excellent, and I absolutely loved the folk rhythms.

The guy in the pic was one of the onlookers who was sufficiently carried away to join the group. Tall, portly guys who are relaxed in their dance movements make for a pleasant sight. Me thinks, they sort of infuse the scene with a sense of joie de vivre that puts everyone around in a good mood.
