Back at Angul

Had an excellent weekend. The Puri beach, Hotel Z, The Pink House, The Sun Temple, The Puri-Konark highway, paddy fields, paddy left to dry in the sun, screwball pandas and unholy priests, sambalpur kurta, the massage that did not happen, sunrise by the sea, loads of photographs on my grandfather’s antique camera, English comma August, Lord Jagannath, that empty feeling, superficial reflections, remembrance of Fisherman’s Cove, the unhappy absence of conversations and someone to converse with, tyre puncture, lame attempt to write, contentment, embarassingly loud guide at Konark holding forth on all the positions, Bhubaneswar, a good conversation with my colleague’s sister-in-law, amazed that Tamil labourers had found their way to Bhubaneswar, tennis ball cricket with a bunch of engineering college students, troubled by Agastya Sen, Sehwag, the mind is restless Krishna.
