the manipulation of money
I think the financial markets have created a whole parallel universe where nothing is quite what it seems. It affects all of us in many different ways – from the price we pay for oil, (oh yes, if we pay 40 bucks a litre, to a large extent it is because a bunch of morally bankrupt gamblers joined hands with an oil cartel to “unintentionally” rig prices forever upwards) and in a not too distant future to the price we will pay for potatoes.
Where all this will end up, even the bankers don’t know. And so we keep rolling the dice. On and on. The rest of the world keeps financing a destructive, excessively consumerist, debt ridden economy that believes gambling is the essence of life.
